UPDATE: We just heard from Pasco County Animal Services that rescue partners showed up at Hernando County Animal Services, yesterday, and pulled 30 animals. KuDOGS to all of you out there who were able to help out! More are scheduled to be pulled today. Thank you. Thank you.

Urgent Lifesaving Move:
Hernando County Animal Services is involved in a hoarding case; animals will be seized tomorrow, June 13. The case includes 86 canines of various sizes. The dogs will enter the Hernando County Animals Services shelter and must be held through the legal process. The shelter is already close to capacity. Pasco County Animal Services is over capacity, but staff will be meeting with Hernando County Animal Services (HCAS) to see how they may assist. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TODAY: HCAS must immediately vacate their kennels to make room for the animals coming in tomorrow. Pasco County Animal Services is requesting that any rescue representatives meet at HCAS parking lot in Brooksville (19450 Oliver Street) for immediate rescue transfers. PCAS will provide all veterinary services that each animal may require within a 30 day period from the transfer date. Please share with rescue organizations.
